Spring Prayer Letter

Raising Up Leaders

Multiplication of leaders: It’s step three of our four-part movement components list. We want to see students not only meet Christ for the first time, but to be trained and equipped as leaders to be sent out into communities and churches to live on mission for a lifetime. Here are some highlights from the last few months:

  • Toby, Rachel, and Ryan are students we are inviting into leadership for the first time at Hastings.

  • Wayne State just transitioned to their new leadership team with 8 students stepping up into roles.

  • Our part-time staff teammate at Midland University told us four freshmen came up to her after a meeting saying they wanted to help lead in getting the gospel to their campus.

  • Leaders at Doane University have seen 13 students pray to receive Christ since Christmas!!

  • At our annual student leader’s retreat, Davy (pictured above) taught next year’s student leaders what it means to build gospel centered movements that reach every corner of their campuses.

  • Melissa is wrapping up with her UNL leaders. They spent this semester digging into the grand narrative of the Bible and pursuing biblical literacy.

  • At our last global prayer dinner we had 30 students in attendance! This is the most we’ve ever had come to pray for the nations.

Praise the Lord! The gospel is bearing fruit and growing on college campuses in Nebraska!

Melissa was able to use her teaching gift to bless the students at statewide women’s retreat.

Our boys are embracing that Nebraska Cornhusker life and couldn’t wait to try on these Cornhusker hats at a local sports store.
