October Prayer Letter
WELCOME MARSHAL!
Marshal Dave McVicker was born on October 15th at 3:55 pm! He was 8 pounds and 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Delivery went great and we are all doing well. He has the same white hair streak that runs in my family (Aiden, me, my brothers, my dad, etc). He’s a snoozy little guy and we are soaking up all the newborn snuggles we can get.
IT'S STILL GOING! PRAISE GOD!
Nine years ago I (Melissa) wandered into an athletes Bible study with five other people. It totally turned my life upside down in the best way possible. By God's grace we saw that Bible study grow from one group of five to a Bible study on all but two of the teams on Missouri State's campus. Last month the leader of the volleyball team asked me to come back and speak to the entire group. I was so encouraged to see this group of student athletes still growing and continuing to pursue Jesus. It was an honor to share with them about what it looks like to live out the Gospel in their everyday lives and their sport. Please pray that this movement of Christ seeking athletes continues another nine years and beyond.
FALL GETAWAY
198 students and staff gathered at a small camp in Nebraska to spend a weekend getting poured into spiritually, challenged, and to deepen relationships with other students.
PRAYER REQUESTS
God/Pray for new financial partners. $1,300/month to go! (Our goal was increased by our coach)
Still no movement on our house. We reduced the price again. Pray for our patience and trust in the Lord during this time.
